ONLINE CLASS: Writing Flash Stories and Prose Poems
Sheila Bender
January 28 - March 11
$240Draft, Discover, and Develop Your Work
Join Sheila for two hours creating new work from prompts guaranteed to elicit strong and surprising writing.
Beginners and experienced writers are welcome in this class for freewriting, gaining responses, and learning what to do next in creating flash (micro) stories and prose poems. Sometimes, however, the pieces are beginnings to work longer or will thicken the brew of writing you have already done. The instructor will share a list of places to submit flash writing of varying word lengths.
Spend the first session flash writing in class from prompts guaranteed to inspire, then share the writing to receive helpful and encouraging instructor responses. Spend the second session sharing your revisions for detailed peer and instructor response. The third session returns to new in-class prompts, and the fourth session focuses once again on your revisions for peer and instructor feedback.
