ONLINE CLASS: Italian Language – Elementary I – New Beginners
Gerard Marini
May 2, 2025 - July 4, 2025
$280Welcome to our Italian language series for those who want to learn Italian from the ground up. One of the world’s most beautiful languages, Italian is the language of opera, poetry, cuisine, film, art, and romance! Why not learn how to speak and understand it?
This is a basic beginners class for those who have no experience with the Italian language or who might have studied it back in high school, but forgotten more than they remember. It is perfect to start from the word “Ciao!” and build a step-by-step foundation in elemental grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary.
The weekly classes are online via Zoom. Your instructor will be zooming in from his home in Milano.
Each session will include instruction in basic Italian grammar, simple conversation, and a little bit of culture. Because the class is small, every student will have an opportunity to be heard each week.
Topics covered will be:
- basic grammar
- building vocabulary
- pronunciation guide
- simple verb tense conjugations
- reading of simple dialogues
- listening and basic writing skills
If you have to miss a class, no problem – each session will be recorded and sent to you after the class, so you can review the lessons at your own pace or catch up. Typically, there will be homework each week that will be reviewed in the following class.
Class enrollment will be limited to facilitate conversation and interaction with the instructor and among the students.
This series is 10 weeks long to give students a good foundation.
Dates: 10 Fridays, May 2nd – July 4th, 2025. [If any class must be canceled, we will add one to the end of the series until all 10 classes are completed.]
Time: 2:30 pm Eastern Time (That is 1:30 pm Central time, 12:30 pm Mountain time, and 11:30 am Pacific time)
Class Length: 1 1/2 hours
Price: $280 for all 10 sessions, including recordings, homework, and review.
