Tell us a little about your background.
I was a professional dancer turned singer. TV, movies, theater in the round, cabaret, live music tours, worldwide. A bit of modeling, some catalogue and a bit of runway for clothing and hair – acting (very little). I was also the National Tour Director for Tremaine Dance Conventions for 13 years.
What do you do for Il Chiostro, and how long have you been doing it?
I am Program Manager for Online Workshops and I have been with Il Chiostro since 2023.
Why do you like doing that job?
I like the camaraderie with hosting the workshops. It becomes a small village and I enjoy exchanges with the students. I get to brush up on my Italian, as I do speak Italian as I lived in Italy for 10 years as a performing artist and love the language.
What is your favorite Italian dish to make at home?
Aglio, olio & pepperincino. Also Spaghetti al pomidoro simplice (well-with a bit of pepperincino as well – love my pepperincino) and also bruschetta!
Do you have a recipe for that dish you’d like to share?
I would not venture to share as they are casarecce recipes and I learned from my neighbors.
Tell us about your special talents or interests.
I still love music, dancing-for fun, spending time with my friends and making new friends-I am a people person. I sing a bit in Church and enjoy it tremendously, after all my husband is the Pastor at our Church which makes me the First Lady! Who knew?!? LOL
