John grew up with his family in Brooklyn New York with a Sicilian Mother and a Napolitano Father. Italian traditions, food, music and art were a big part of his life from an early age. He has a BFA from Pratt Institute in film/photography and art history. After dabbling in the musical theater world, John spent most of his professional career in the wholesale gift and home accessory business. He currently lives in Chicago and splits his time as a design consultant and working with Il Chiostro as a program facilitator/manager.
John first met Il Chiostro in 2003 as a participant and started working with them shortly after. He really enjoys bringing the artists/participants to his favorite spots to be inspired and to watch them be transformed. When not working, you will probably find John in the kitchen making something delicious. Ci Vediamo a Presto!
